It’s obvious to say that being a Paramedic is a very underrated, overlooked and thankless profession. However, this short film by writer-director Jonny Durgan goes a lot deeper with two paramedics being forced to make a life-altering decision that they never expected.
Beth and Jo are paramedics currently bringing a victim of a gunshot wound on a stretcher. However, when the two women receive a call about a school shooting and the shooter matches the description of the person on the stretcher, they are faced with a serious dilemma.
While the film itself seems a little too on the shorter end, it certainly has enough verve and nerve to keep the viewer on edge, working its way through the duration of time like a psychological horror flick.
The performances of the leading ladies are incredibly admirable and their work is very noteworthy. These women have the ferocious tenacity in their performances that steams over in every minute of the short film.
All in all, this short film is nicely shot, impeccably acted and sharp in its narrative that it can really be a starting point for Jonny Durgan.
